Verbally Challenged

When: 2005 – 2012

Where: Contact Manchester

For many years I have been a regular performer, and more recently the director, of Contact Manchester’s new writing competition, Verbally Challenged – formerly knows as Flip the Script. Showcasing a selection of new work by North West writers, and featuring up and coming talent alongside more established voices, it has been a platform for the development of many succesful productions; including Steve Timms’ Temp/Casual and Ian Kershaw’s Get Ken Barlow.

As an actor I developed several full length scripts, including Steve Timms piece Everyone’s Paranoid and Amman Paul Brar Singh’s, Still Alive, with past associate director Sol River. I performed for the young directors training scheme Live and Direct and worked with young writers on the Word Up project.
